Store Deals

Rite Aid

Store Policies:
  • Rite Aid has a monthly rebate program called the Single Check Rebate (SCR). You can either pick up a rebate book from the store each month or look at the list online  here (click on View Offers). Many times, the best rebates are only good for a week period and the item is on sale also.
  • When you make a purchase that’s eligible for an SCR, you can either enter your receipts online or save up all the receipts and mail them in at the end of the month. You can only make one check request for the month, so it’s best to wait until the end of the month. You will receive your check a couple of weeks after requesting it. It will come on a postcard, and you can either deposit it at your bank or use it to make a purchase at Rite Aid.
  • In the weekly ad, Rite Aid usually offers in-store coupons and they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons (and combined with an SCR).
  • Rite Aid accepts manufacturer’s coupons and they now ACCEPT internet printables as well as coupons from the newspaper inserts.
  •  Sometimes Rite Aid will also offer a coupon such as $5 off a $25 purchase that can be stacked with the other coupons and SCRs. You will want to purchase $25 worth of goods and give the $5 off $25 purchase coupon first and then hand the cashier the rest of your coupons.
Target Coupons

Target Store Policies:
  • They take all manufacturer coupons, and you can stack it with a Target in-store coupon. As long as the total of the coupons are more than the price of the item.
  • They also take printable Internet coupons, as long as it says Manufacturer coupon on it and it must scan.
  • DOES match competitors ads or prices
  • DOES NOT take other stores in-store coupon
Walgreen Coupons

Walgreen Store Policies:
  •  You can use a Walgreens store coupon and a manufactures coupon on the same item.
  • Register Rewards are dollar value coupons received for buying certain promotional items at Walgreen’s. They print out after you have paid for your purchase. They act as in store cash and can be redeemed like cash on future Walgreen’s purchases.
  • Walgreens coupons can be found in the store ad. Find your store ad in the Sunday paper and at the store.
  • Here is some basic information about Walgreens. To my knowledge they do not have a printed coupon policy that is available.  Also they do allow for significant freedom at the store level to interpret this policy.
  • Walgreens DOES allow for “stacking” of coupons- you can use 1 manufacturer coupon and one Walgreens coupon per item as long as neither coupon prohibits it.
  • Walgreens does not price match other stores.
  • Walgreens can adjust the price of an item to the value of a coupon- i.e. adjusting a .99 item to $1, so a $1 coupon can be used. They will not give cash back on the difference.
  • Walgreen’s will not allow a post-sale coupon. If you forget to use the coupon at the time of purchase, you will need to return the item and re-purchase it with the coupon..
  • In general you only need 1 Walgreens coupon regardless of how many items you buy. The Register will automatically deduct the coupon amount for every item in the transaction
  • The cashier does not need to keep Walgreens coupons. So you do not need to tear apart an ad- they can just scan it. You can also keep coupon booklets and the Walgreens Activity booklets intact and continue to use the same coupon over and over.
  • Walgreens occasionally issues $x/x coupons- typically a $5/25 amount. They require that your total AFTER all coupons have been applied is $25. Then you can use the $5/25 coupon. (This includes Register Rewards). So you will spend $20 out of pocket if you want to use a Walgreens $5/25 coupon.
Kohl's:
  • I first started shopping at Kohls about 3 months ago. I use to never go there! Hello uptapped resource! A wise sister in law showed me that with a Kohl's Credit Card; you can save 15-30% ON TOP of clearance prices for clothes!!!
  • I shop here strictly for Carters, Polo, & OshKosh Brand Baby clothes, which I absolutely love. I never buy an outfit unless I get it for about 50-80% off. I also go straight home, go to kohls.com, and pay my balance right away.
Etsy:
  • I love, love, love Etsy! I love supporting other women's businesses and how affordable they are.  I get newborn hats there for photography props, baby gear, and all kinds of crafts.
